Our School
Gracie Jonesboro is unlike any martial arts school in the area. As a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Certified Training Center (CTC), we are authorized to teach the proprietary self defense programs curated by Rener and Ryron Gracie. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, or BJJ is the only martial art proven to allow a smaller person to consistently defend against a larger opponent. We love helping our students of all ages find health and confidence through martial arts training. Our beginner programs can accommodate anyone regardless of skill, fitness level, or flexibility.
Our History
Owner Austin Morgan got into BJJ to learn how to defend himself as a police officer. After training and competing in a sport focused setting Austin was introduced to Gracie University’s unique approach to the art through their law enforcement training program, Gracie Survival Tactics (GST). He was amazed by the safety culture and self defense applications found in Gracie University classes. In February of 2023 Austin completed the ICP evaluation at GU headquarters in Torrance CA, and we officially became Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Jonesboro.

We recognize that if you get hurt you won’t want to come back. Our instructors are formally trained to lead classes in a way that reduces the risk of injury.
